Hadn't thought of it before. I made a couple of batches of your plum and apple jelly recently. Superb. Easy to make and enjoyed by all. There was the slight problem of the elastic on the jelly bag giving way as I was loading mushed fruit into it causing the jelly bag to fall into the bowl of strained fruit juice which then went all over the table, a chair, the floor, the walls, a door and me. Spreads doesn't it. But I managed to get 4 jars from that episode. The second batch gave me 7 jars and it just tastes so nice.Lady Chutneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15273053240515018453noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2489450171092139763.post-88085444307072172162011-09-21T07:50:00.200+01:002011-09-21T07:50:00.200+01:00I always find any American recipes that call for m...I always find any American recipes that call for molasses always come out waaaay too molassery for me - maybe the molasses there is less potent?<br />Thanks for the great year baking - I had a great time :)Mirihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14597015403102802668noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2489450171092139763.post-49364611329324731472011-09-21T05:00:41.779+01:002011-09-21T05:00:41.779+01:00Love the rich deep chocolate color from the cake! ...Love the rich deep chocolate color from the cake! I have only tried chocolate gingerbread once and was quite disappointed but I can see how the cocoa might add to the rich flavour rather than make it taste like a chocolate cake hereJohanna GGGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08594201473931487490noreply@blogger.com
